Nicole Olson/Movement Chaos (Phoenix, Az) has performed in Arizona with the Phoenix Opera, Liliana Gomez, and Dulce Dance. Currently, she is the Assistant Director of Scorpius Dance Theatre and is Guest Artist for Center Dance Ensemble. Recently, she created NicoleOlson|MovementChaos; a concert and alternative space dance company.
Ms. Olson has presented her own work nationally in such venues as the Kennedy Center and TBA Festival in Portland, OR. Her choreography has also been seen in Phoenix Theatre’s “Evita” and “Once”, and Stray Cat Theatre’s “Heathers” and “Silence! The Musical”.
Nicole has also been presenting work in alternative performance spaces; creating for Phoenix Art Museum and galleries throughout Phoenix. This past year, she produced four evening length pieces for the internationally-awarded Canal Convergence Spring and Fall ’18, presented by Scottsdale Public Art.
Ms. Olson was awarded the 2016 Mayor’s Arts Award for Dance, and was selected as Phoenix New Times’ “Best Dancer, 2016” for their annual “Best Of Phoenix” and one of their “100 Creatives” for 2016. Last fall, she was recognized for Phoenix New Times’ “Best Of 2018” for her collaborative work with artist Patricia Sannit (Best Collaboration)
